Money Saving and Earning Apps You Need Now!

Many of us are pinching pennies more than ever. Here are apps that I use to save money, as well as earn cash back for my purchases!

Ibotta:

Ibotta is by far my favorite cash back app for groceries and miscellaneous items. I’ve made about $75 dollars back by buying my normal groceries and trying new foods advertised on the app! There have been many times where the app pays me back for the amount I spent on an item. I received over $20 back after shopping at Whole Foods before!

Stores available (this list is not all inclusive):

Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Publix, Target, Aldi, Kroger, Walmart, and many more!

The way the app works:

Ibotta will show you the stores that have partnered with Ibotta. Click on the store you are planning on shopping at. The app will show items that are available for cash back and the amount you will receive for buying the items. You “add” the items you desire to “Your List.” Once you have added all the items you desire, go shopping, scan your receipt and watch the money grow in your account! Once you hit $20 dollars in your account, you can withdraw the money through paypal or various giftcards.

Digit:

A few friends told me about Digit a few months back and I have loved using it! This is an app that helps you to save money for specific goals you have, whether that is to pay off debt, to travel more, save for a new car, or even an emergency fund. You can even add your Student Loan account, cell phone bill, and other bills!

How the app works:

Once you connect your bank account, you set up your desired goals. Everyday Digit adds a few cents to a few dollars from your bank to your goals. The app uses an algorithm to analyze your spending and adds accordingly. The app has a setting for overdraft protection as well.

Safety:

I know, I was hesitant about adding my bank account as well. Here are some articles that address those concers.

The Krazy Coupon Lady

She really is crazy too. The amount of savings, deals, and coupons on this app is ridiculous. This app is more on the side of extreme couponing but I would definitely recommend checking it out. She also has an email she sends out with her deals that you can subscribe to. She will list the store and the coupons needed to achieve the price she found.

With most there is a store coupon, manufacturers coupon, and then coupons from various apps.
